Check out Bradenton homes to find a bustling city on the shore of the Manatee River. The city is the county seat of Manatee County and less than 15 miles north of Sarasota. The Sarasota-Bradenton Airport is about nine miles to the south. St. Petersburg is less than 30 miles to the north, connected via the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. This means that Bradenton real estate owners are ideally situated for commuting for work and traveling. There’s plenty happening right in the city, too. The local chamber of commerce works hard for local businesses and has been named National Chamber of the Year. It’s also won Florida Chamber of the Year four times.
Bradenton homes come in a variety of price points and sizes. Families appreciate the strong local public schools. And everyone loves the local shopping in downtown Bradenton. There are also excellent restaurants and cafes. Other highlights include the farmers market, held every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Riverwalk is a cool new park, which includes beach volleyball courts, a skate park, the Tidal Discovery Zone, and a splash pad. The Mosaic Amphitheater is located there and has a full schedule of concerts, plays, and community performances. Village of the Arts is a live-work community of artists, full of historic cottages. You’ll find funky cafes, bakeries, and studios in the village. Artwalks are held on the first Friday evening and first Saturday afternoon of each month.
In addition to Riverwalk, the city maintains a system of 11 parks, and citizens enjoy the outdoors in them. There are playgrounds, walking paths, basketball courts, picnic tables, and even gazebos for rent. Manatee Village Historical Park is a great place to go to explore the city’s past, with several fully restored historic buildings. The South Florida Museum is another good place to learn about local history.
